Fun Fact of the Day: Nickelodeon’s Hey Arnold! began its animated life as a series of claymation shorts — retroactively nicknamed “Clay Arnold!” — which were featured on early 90’s episodes of Sesame Street.
Bonus Fun Facts: Show creator Craig Bartlett is married to Lisa Bartlett (née Groening), sister of Simpsons creator Matt Groening and the eponymous inspiration for the character of Lisa Simpson. Matt Groening’s father, Homer, is responsible for recording the Ainsworth School band performance used as the score in the above Clay Arnold! short, “The Arnold Waltz.”

A Special Intimate Performance of Find It In You
Find It In You was the name of the first set of demos/songs that we ever put out for people to hear. They were written in 2007. They are responsible for helping us develop much of our Long Island support base, which, in turn, allowed us to tour and share our music with other parts of the country. We haven’t played these songs in a LONG time, although, we do get asked to rather frequently.
So… here it is. We’re gonna play all five songs from the disc (Sunday, Cast Away, In Brooklyn, The Pick-Up No. 96 and Thieves and the Things They Do). And we want YOU to be a part of it. Chances are Nate is going to need lyric help! Bring your friends, your voices, your friends’ voices and the love so we can make this a throwback party of sorts.
Weather permitting, it will be on the deck at Ollie’s Point.
Starts at 4 PM (door time for the full show) and you can only attend the acoustic performance if you are one of the first 50 people to buy presale tickets for the Ollie’s Point show at clubloaded.com.
We’ll be playing a full set later in the night—so that’s two TC sets for the price of one! Gather your friends and get tickets before you miss it!

Stuff we did at the bowling alley in the year 2000..
Unbelievable. #1 I didn’t realize the Jessie Lacey / Kevin Devine relationship started this early #2 I took Bowling 101 at Nassau CC and we bowled at Garden City Bowl; it’s hard to fathom shows of this caliber being put on there.

This Might Not End Well of the Day: The Netherlands’ right-wing coalition government, buttressed by Geert Wilders’ far-right Party for Freedom, has announced plans to severely restrict access to the country’s world renowned “coffee shops,” banning entrance to all foreigners, and imposing membership requirements on local patrons.
“In order to tackle the nuisance and criminality associated with coffee shops and drug trafficking, the open-door policy of coffee shops will end,” wrote the Dutch health and justice ministers in a letter to parliament.
Dutch residents will be required to sign up for a one-year membership before being permitted to patronize a coffee shop. Each of the country’s 220 coffee shops will be allowed to dispense only 1,500 memberships, meaning many locals will have to seek other means of procuring pot.
The measures will be rolled out in the south this year, before making their way up north in 2012.
Amsterdam’s tourism down 25% by the end of 2012.
